Brad is an experienced technical theatre consultant and was one of the founding directors of Theatreplan Pty Limited in December 2014.
As Manager, Technology Projects at the Sydney Opera House, Brad was responsible for scoping, developing, and delivering large-scale technical upgrades for theatres and concert halls. This included stage management, two-way radio, stage communications, IPTV, digital audio, and theatrical lighting systems. Earlier in his career, he transitioned movie theatres and their staff from analogue to digital platforms.
With Theatreplan, Brad works closely with clients to ensure that project outcomes are aligned with the strategic and operational goals that drive them-effectively linking the CAPEX with the OPEX, and ensuring that the technology investment is appropriately supported after commissioning. He has extensive experience developing workforce plans and aligning skills to roles, drawing on his time as both a theatre technician and technical manager.
Brad specialises in collating user operational requirements, developing functional requirements, and preparing technical specifications for requests for tender. He guides the client through the request for tender and evaluation processes, and assists with project commissioning and closure.
